What kinds of stamping dies are there?

1. Engineering model
The engineering mold is a single mold, and its function can only complete a certain process in the stamping process, or a part of a more complicated process, in terms of production efficiency, it is lower than the continuous mold. The engineering mold can also become similar For continuous mold production, please refer to the attached picture (engineering mold becomes similar to continuous mold production). It can be expanded according to the forming process of stamping products, including punching dies, bending dies, and leveling dies (some products require higher flatness) , Shearing dies, drawing dies, etc., the entire product will be stamped and formed on multiple machine tools and dies in sequence, and processes such as welding, tapping, and adding parts can also be inserted during the stamping process.
2. Continuous mode
The stamping and forming process is carried out continuously. The input end of the stamping is plate, and the output end is waste and stamping products. The biggest feature of continuous die is that the entire stamping process is continuous, and the degree of production automation and efficiency is higher. Continuous die is generally used for production and forming processes. Simple stamping products. Most of these products can be formed at one time and require large quantities, such as iron shells for fan rotors. After the stamping process is completed, the continuous die can be spot welded, riveted, tapped, and surface treated. The production of the entire product (parts) is basically completed.
3. Upper and lower die
The stamping die is divided into a punch (upper die, Punch) and a concave die (lower die, Die). The gap between the upper and lower dies, the sharpness of the cutting edge, etc. have a direct impact on the quality of the cut surface
Most traditional techniques can be used for stamping and forming of stainless steel, but don't forget that the force required to stamp stainless steel is 60% greater than that required to stamp mild steel. Obviously, the frame of the punch press should be able to withstand such a large force. Moreover, it is also critical to solve scratches, especially scratches caused by high friction and high temperature when stamping stainless steel. Commonly used soaps or emulsions are not effective. Water-based lubricants should be used. This water-based stamping lubricant is a composite that combines the advantages of multiple lubricating ingredients, thereby eliminating the deficiencies of traditional lubricating products. IRMCO lubricants are professional stamping lubricants. IRMCO has different series of products for different stamping processes. Mainly used in punch drawing, punching, punching, bending and other processes in the process of workpiece forming, which can complete the most difficult deep drawing punch drawing. IRMCO products have no flash point and are safer to use. The product is transparent and can be diluted with water, there will be no delamination after dilution, and true compatibility.
