1. Sintering refers to the technical method of densifying granular ceramic blanks to form a solid material. What is sintering? It is the process of eliminating voids between particles in the blank, removing small amounts of impurities, organic matter, and gases, allowing the particles to bond and grow together to form a new substance.

2. Besides atmospheric pressure sintering (pressureless sintering), there are also hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and hot pressing sintering;

Hot isostatic pressing uses high-pressure, high-temperature gas as the pressure transmission medium, possessing the advantage of uniform heating in every direction, making it particularly suitable for sintering complex-shaped products; because the structure is relatively uniform, the material properties are improved by 10-15% compared to general hot pressing sintering, and by 30-50% compared to cold pressing sintering; the most widely used heating device is the
electric furnace;
4. Continuous hot pressing sintering can increase production, but the mold and equipment costs are too high. In addition, because it involves axial heating, the length of the product is also limited;
5. Alumina ceramics can also be statically pressed for use in special components required by the defense and military industries, such as ceramic bearings, gun barrels, nuclear fuel, and reflectors.
